Awaited is the debut release from Trawlerboy.  Partly a study in improvising, partly a study in the performative expectations of the self in public and in private - Awaited acts as a brief touching point between the perceived and unperceived desires of identity.

"I wrote the piece in a kind of fugue state in one take. It was 2am, mid-January, and I just felt compelled to go to the piano to do something other than lay in bed wide-awake. I'd also been walking a lot more at that time since I was trying to re-establish habits after the holidays, leaving a corporate job, and processing the anniversary of a radical change in my personal life. In that moment, I felt safe enough to sit in this pervasive, quiet desperation that has haunted me since I can remember. Embrace it, and love it for what it is. One of the few times life gives us permission to put down our masks and just collapse internally. I just hit record." 

Awaited marks the beginning of Trawlerboy's exploration into the forays of surreality, isolation, and the yearning for meaning in an indifferent world.
